Immediately after passing the Gulf of Palermo lies on the south side of the valley Qeparo with amazing green and blue color. Meanwhile up in a somewhat isolated mountain site is a jumble of houses, is Old Qeparo, so people call it. New Qeparo is near the coast and most of the new houses are near the sea. The houses are set in a way that connected between them with a single winding road. They are located on the side of the valley full of olive and orange trees and a stream which only swell during winter. Just by the entrance in qeparo lies the ruins of an ancient port which was rebuilt recently again.

Qeparo is famous for the Karos fortress, a castle settlement inhabited in prehistoric times. It is located on the old Qeparo, in a place called Gradishta and is set on a hill 450 m high rocky located 3.5 km from the sea. Also you can visit the monuments and other cultural and natural as the Church of the Monastery of Saint Mitri, the church of Saint Spyridon, Shiroku cave where the road splits to the way to old Qeparo.
Qeparo has a pebble beach and hard white sand. It is very beautiful and virgin. In recent years it has become a popular attraction for tourists. In the village there are some decent restaurants that serve seafood and fresh fish. This beach is ideal for those who want to stay in the tent and love adventure.
